There were some odd invasive electric drums with whack timing, which is a bummer because I hate both. I first heard it during Ralph Breaks the Internet and fell in love with it, and it really made me want to start listening to Origins. West Coast was overall a great song, and I want to learn more about the meaning behind it. Powerful lyrics, calmer music, and evident emotion make for a really good song. Everything seemed to fit together well in that song, great execution. There was a minor e-drum issue but it wasn’t horrible since it wasn’t super distracting. The bass was really “cool” in Cool Out, as was the piano and electric guitar riff at the end. ![]() Its lyrics and theme were great, but the amount of distortion that was used was a little overwhelming. Machine was a taste of further disappointment to come. I also really liked Boomerang, as I enjoyed the lyrics as well as the classy mild synths that they incorporated into this song. I’ve already been over Natural, which is a fantastic song, full of energy and has the true Imagine Dragons spirit that I’ve seen little of since Night Visions. Originally, it was kind of fun listening to this new style that Imagine Dragons picked up, as it was more energetic (think Night Visions), but sadly Origins relies too much on generic electronic drums and synthesizer effects that can be hard to listen to. Sadly, besides a couple of other songs, those are the only two I would stick with and not listen to the rest of the album. I had really high hopes for this album, as I had heard Natural and Zero before listening to the rest of it. 683 -> 4.66 Origins is the latest (though not the greatest) album by Imagine Dragons. In the end they promised not to give up and try to get help (thank god), which matches with the bridge of "I won't give up", and the final verse is me making my friend promise to keep talking to me, even when I might not always know what to do to help them out (I don't wanna let you go).Origins by Imagine Dragons: 4.66 Natural: 1 :) The verses sound a lot like their issues that they were trying to explain to me, and the chorus is me saying back don't give up and don't burn out on me. Ever since then, I've started to see the lyrics to the song as a conversation between two people as some part of it feel like they're talking to me about themself and others are exactly what I'm trying to say to them. Was trying to help out a friend who was going through some mental and emotional issues, and in a desperate attempt to connect and get through to them, I sent them the song and lyrics to Burn Out.
